The Fertilizer
Institute (TFI) and the Fertilizer Industry Round Table (FIRT)
jointly host the Fertilizer Outlook and Technology Conference in the fall of
each year. The conference is geared towards industry members, financial
analysts, business consultants, trade press representatives, agricultural
retailers, agronomists, engineers and government economists.
The outlook portion of the conference will be geared towards
looking into challenges facing the fertilizer industry including several safety and security
issues. Other topics that will be
covered include U.S. fertilizer demand and nutrient use issues. Various distinguished speakers will cover
these as well as a wide range of other topics at this year’s conference.
The technology portion of the conference will focus on soil
health and technologies for integration in the field. An opening panel of
speakers will address evaluating soil health, its role in environmental
stewardship and the potential industry role. Other topics to be addressed
include how “big data”, equipment, and seed and crop protection relate to soil
health. Additionally, 4R Advocates Alan Madison and Malcom Stambaugh will be on
hand to discuss efforts in the field focusing on how they incorporate data,
equipment and input technologies for soil health.
Conference participants can expect to gain perspective on
the outlook for agriculture and major fertilizer materials and inputs from
industry experts. New technology and issues that impact plant nutrition are
also key topics of discussion at the conference. The 2015 Fertilizer Outlook
and Technology Conference will take place Nov. 10-12 in Jacksonville, FL at the
Hyatt Regency Hotel.
