The Illinois 4R Code of Practice has been
officially launched by the Illinois Fertilizer and Chemical Association (IFCA).  The Illinois 4R Code of Practice has been
developed by the IFCA Agronomy Committee and Board of Directors.  The 4R Code of Practice outlines principles
that reinforce our industry’s on-going commitment to provide leadership in
Illinois on reducing nutrient losses, assuring profitability for customers,
protecting the environment and avoiding unnecessary regulations.

In the latest Summer 2015 Keep
it 4R Crop Newsletter IFCA announced the launch of their 4R Code of Practice
with an official call to their retail members and crop advisers to “take the
pledge” to support the principles in the 4R Code of Practice with their farmer
customers to enhance nutrient utilization and reduce nutrient losses.

The launch of the Illinois Code
of Practice coincides with the launch of the new IFCA Keep it 4R Crop website
at www.Keepit4RCrop.org where
retailers will go to take the pledge and where later this summer the new
website will feature the companies and persons who have pledged their
commitment to this enhanced nutrient stewardship effort.  The website also
features examples of ag retailers in action and information about various 4R
programs and nutrient management systems that IFCA promotes within the industry.
Please feel free to check out the website.
