IPM Institute
The IPM Institute is an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit with a mission to leverage marketplace power to improve health and environment and a history of developing innovative and successful programs.
In 2010, the IPM Institute collaborated with the Sandusky River Watershed Coalition, Heidelberg University, International Plant Nutrition Institute and others to initiate a pilot project in the Ohio Sandusky River Watershed. The project goal is to provide agriculture retailers with the resources needed to take the forefront in resource management. The IPM Institute is developing a series of tools to assist retailers in making product and service recommendations to their clients that have both market potential and are effective at reducing nutrient losses from cropland, thereby improving water quality. As the project expands throughout the Western Lake Erie Basin and Great Lakes Basin, the IPM Institute continues to promote 4R Nutrient Stewardship by including its framework in the tools and services.
The IPM Institute is developing a series of products and services for ag retailers, non-operator landowners, producers and watershed organizations. More information will be posted at the Parnership for Ag Resource Management (www.partnershipfarm.org) as the products and services are finalized.
